LETTRE de OLGA adressée à Mr PIERRE GILLIARD, son professeur.

otmapalace:

A note written by Grand Duchess Olga in French to her Tutor, Pierre Gilliard, c.1914

My rather terrible translit.

Si vous avy le second volume de Notre Dame de Paris envoyer le moi je vou en prie.

Olga Romanoff
13 (26) Mar 1914 (?)
Roughly translated:

If you have the book Notre Dame de Paris, would you send it to me please.

This was sent to Pierre Gilliard, her Swiss tutor, March 13/26 1914, asking for a volume of Notre Dame de Paris, and if he would send it to her. One can see a cute little mistake she made, with the third word is “avy”, when the “avez” is the proper term. The only word I am puzzled about is the second word in the second line, any help?
Edit: the word I was puzzled on was second. The ‘c’ looks much like an ‘e’ and the ‘s’ like an ‘f’. In short, it reads second.
