LETTRE d'ANASTASIA

Here is a copy of a letter written by Grand Duchess Anastasia to her cousin Lord Louis Mountbatten (Dicky), the son of her mother’s eldest sister Victoria. Dicky was only a year older than Anastasia and a year younger than her sister Maria. The cousins probably only met once, in 1909, when the Imperial Family visited their family in England.

My darling Dick,

I wan to see you. What kind of weather are you having? Are you all alone in London? When shall you see your sisters? I wish you were here so that we could play to gether [sic]. Olga Tatiana and Marie send their love and many kisses to you and all.
