costumes de la TSARINE ALEXANDRA ROMANOV
Dresses of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna [1/?]
Day dress made by the Atelier of Nadezhda Lamanova, Moscow Second half of the 1890s.
The color scheme and decor of this costume is a vivid embodiment of fashion mid-1890s. The dress in cream coloured cloth has a collar of velvet, the voluminous puffed sleeves gathered at the shoulders. It has no distinct waistline and it is only the embroidery representing garlands of small flowers, which emphasizes the waist with the crossing lines verticales made with sequins.
